Idea-Log (or maybe I should say Idealogue)

So, I'm not going to lie.

Starting this site is a lot harder than I thought it would be. I'm excited about it--we're getting a few entries. I guess the phrase "slow and steady wins the race" definitely applies to me. I'm so ready to just get moving that I forget that sometimes... you just have to wait it out. After a certain extent, there's not much you can do to help anymore.

But I'm okay.

It's not really fair for there only to be one kind of contest running... methinks I should start the others up as well. Maybe like, have them all e-mailed straight to me. I mean, I'm sure my team of judges (for photography--I'm one, btw) all have enough experience in the arts to cover other areas. For instance, I could definitely do stuff like piano music or choir music.

Not to be hating on art, but I don't really know if it takes a good artist to recognize good art... for stuff like dance and music, though--you have to know all the logistics of how things are supposed to work. Like if someone were to write a piece of music that has like no chordal structure whatsoever, but random notes that sound good???

Yeah. That wouldn't fly. So I'm thinking I'm going to open them all up.
