Photography Contest's First

Ella Gordon is the first person ever to have won a contest in TTF! We congratulate her fully! You can e-mail her here. Unfortunately, she doesn't have a homepage. Her picture is called SPRING SHOWERS.

Her Bio

The first theme for the photography contest was "New Beginnings," and the winner was Ella Gordon, age 16. She submitted a gorgeous photo of wet grass with this message tied along with it:

"Whenever it rains, I love to go outside and smell the wet grass and watch as the dew drops fall and splash on the blade below, washing off the dirt and dust of it's existance."

Ella has been taking pictures all her life. Her first camera was a disposible one that her parents got her for her 9th birthday party--a trip to Disney Land. She used all the pictures in the first few hours and took such wonderful pictures that her parents decided to invest in a small, digital camera for her when she got into middle school.

Eventually, Ella became frustrated with the camera and she set her sights on a $875 camera. She worked when she could for her neighbors and babysat almost every friday night, then got a job where she worked until she had saved up enough money to pay for two-thirds of the camera--her parents would pay the rest.

Ever since Ella has had her new camera, she has loved every minute of it and plans on saving enough money to buy
parts like zoom lenses, lighting, and other equipment.
